Story:
We enjoyed spending a week this summer sketching the quaint cottages and exploring the winding walking trails in lovely Kent England. The picturesque villages with their Tudor exposed beam architecture offered much for the artist and I filled a sketchbook with painting ideas. This painting is inspired by a sketch I made of the King Henry VIII Inn located in the Kentish town of Hever near Anne Boleyn's Hever Castle. Of course I have taken a little artistic license with the scene to make it more to my liking.
