Details:
This Pencil drawing was done on location in the Netherlands. The Drawing size is about 5 inches wide by 8 inches tall, sketched with a 6B pencil in a hardbound sketchbook by Watson Guptill. I use the sketchbook as a personal reference journal for future paintings. The drawings are not for sale but individual requests may be granted for private non-commercial use.
Story:
Every inch of the Palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn Holland is meticulously maintained. The formal gardens are exquisitely designed and trimmed, covering many acres. This one big tree stood out as an informal member of the otherwise formal gardens and Barbara said "You should sketch that tree." So I did.
