Story:

The Joseph Smith family lived on this farm near Palmyra New York in the early 1800's. This farm has been restored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is now a visitors center. The frame home seen in the background was started by Alvin Smith, an able carpenter. He died however, before it was completed. The family eventually finished the house and occupied it after 1825. Adjacent to the farm is the "Sacred Grove" where Joseph Smith Jr. sought and received revelation from God.
