Story:
Sam Kent owns a camp on the shores of beautiful Lake Willoughby in northern Vermont. He has been kind enough to share it with us several times so I could sketch and paint the fall foliage. Perched on the hillside on the east shore of the lake, the cotttage affords a spectacular view of the blue water and the maple and evergreen-covered hillside on the west side of the lake. The property was originally owned by Sam's grandfather Charles Foster Kent, a respected professor and author whose personal momentos and books still line the natural wood walls of this venerable old home. We have spent many peaceful evenings relaxing on the private boat dock and falling asleep to the sound of the loons and the lapping of the water against the rocks. It has become one of our favorite places to visit each year.
