Story:
Snow Canyon is a wonderful place near my home in Saint George, UT. Sand dunes, lava rock, and amazing rock formations make it a great place for hiking and an exciting place to paint. Recently my wife and I decided to take our tent and camp overnight there. In the early morning I grabbed my sketchbook and camera and took off hiking. In a few minutes the sun began to creep over the East cliffs and light up the West side. I shot some photos, then as the sun got higher I sat down and did some sketching. This painting is the result of that grand experience.
