Story:
Many castles dot the Swiss countryside. This interesting castle, Schloss Rietberg, is near Rodels and has since been converted into a hotel. Many of the castles in Europe are still owned by the families, but taxes are so high, not many can afford to keep them up without some form of business use. Working from a sketchbook drawing I did on location and photos I used a little artistic license to create drama with the lighting on this painting.
