Story:
This painting was completed during the "Footsteps of Thomas Moran" invitational paint-out at Zion National Park in 2009. The plein air painting depicts a scene along the meandering Virgin River where the big old Cottonwoods dominate the canyon floor. In the background you can see Angel's Landing, one of Zion's more popular peaks.
