Painting # 1067

Story:

One of my ancestors, James Henry Rollins and his two sisters Mary Elizabeth and Caroline were adopted by their aunt Elizabeth and A. Sidney Gilbert. They moved to Kirtland Ohio where Gilbert was partners with Newel K. Whitney in the mercantile business. James, the oldest, began working in the Whitney store as a young man and after joining the LDS church followed the path of the early pioneers who eventually settled in Utah.
