Pencil drawing from a sketchook kept on location during Sons of the Utah Pioneers tour in July 2005. Drawing size is 5 1/2 inches by 8 inches, sketched with a 6B pencil in a hardbound sketchbook made by Watson-Guptill.

Story:
This monument overlooks the fields where so many lost their lives at Gettysburg. Atop the monument a flame continually burns. It is said President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy visited the site a short time before he was asassinated and Mrs. Kennedy asked lots of questions about the flame. Upon Kennedy's death she requested an eternal flame be installed on his grave as well.
