Story:
I encountered this farmhouse on one of my many walks near the little town of Sedburgh in the Yorkshire Dales. I noticed that many of the farms, although made of stone, were whitewashed on one or more of the sides, while the other sides were left natural. I'm still not sure why they do that. But it is one of the things that gives the area its uniqe charm.
