Story:
I am fortunate to live in a beautiful desert location where I am afforded many hiking opportunties. On any hike I can see countless varieties of desert shrubs including these blossoming cactus. Their soft yellow blossoms seem incongruous with the menacing pointed spines. I love to watch the play of light and shadow.
