This painting is based on a scene in southern Switzerland. I planned to do this as a demonstration for a 2-day watercolor workshop on painting water, but after sketching it out prior to class, I got so excited I jumped right in. By the time the class started the next day, this painting was already finished. I did show it to the class as an example.
